Dr. Gitonga holds MBChB and MMed (ENT) degrees from the University of Nairobi.
After postgraduate training she worked as an ENT surgeon for 2 years at Thika Level 4 Hospital, then proceeded to work in:
Nairobi ENT Clinic
Kenyatta National Hospital
Facial Aesthetic Clinic
At Kenyatta National Hospital she has been involved in supervision of postgraduate ENT thesis.
She is the current Vice Chair of the Kenya ENT Society and the Editor-in-Chief of the ENT and Central Africa Journal of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
She has participated in hands-on surgical workshops in:

Ray ENT Centre and Voice Clinic
